Wave Velocity and CPT Cone

SCPT or SCPTu can be used to determine the velocity profiles of compressive (P) and shear (S) waves at low strain levels.

  • SCPT or SCPTu can be used to determine the velocity profiles of compressive (P) and shear (S) waves at low strain levels.

  • The SCPT (u) earthquake test is conducted during the traditional CPT (u) test, and the parameters of the right shear wave, left shear wave, and compression wave can be combined with the parameters obtained from CPT (u) t e s ting, name l y con eresistance (Qc), local friction (Fs), vertical deviation (i), and pore pressure (u).

  • The experiment adopts the single hole method, also known as the inspection layer method.          

  • The core of the probe is a three component detector, which is installed in the X, Y, and Z directions .

  • Detector: Natural frequency<10HZ.

  • Sensitivity ≥ 0.3V/cm/s.
